Tenemos una hija de siete años que probó su ebike por primera vez y Fabricio y Juliana estuvieron a la altura de las circunstancias cuidandola e incentivandola, como un buen guía un trabaja con niños debería hacer , por eso todos lo pasemos muy bien, el almuerzo fue impecable y el paseo muy bonito. Montalcino Bike tour along the Brunello vineyards in Montalcino. The e-bike tour will start from Montalcino and will follow an amazing tuscany bike tour to discover the land of Brunello by e-bike. We will reach the breathtaking Abbey of Sant’Antimo, a monastery of the Olivetan congregation of St. Benedict. It is located near Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the municipality of Montalcino. It is one of the most important architectural examples of Tuscan Romanesque architecture. We will reach by bike the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, a true medieval jewel, located a few kilometers from Montalcino in the valley of the Starcia stream, a tributary of the Orcia River, near Castelnuovo dell’Abate. It is one of the most beautiful monuments of the Romanesque style in Tuscany, with references to French and Lombard models. According to the tradition, the church was commissioned by Charlemagne, who, returning from Rome with his retinue along the Via Francigena, stopped in the Val di Starcia because of the danger unleashed by a plague epidemic: he vowed that this scourge would cease, and for the grace he received he founded the Abbey. The present church dates back about 1118, as attested by an inscription engraved on the high altar. The structure of the temple is made of travertine rock with veins of alabaster, which comes from the nearby quarry of Castelnuovo dell’Abate; this stone gives it an ever-changing effect of luster, depending on the chromatic variations of the sky and the surrounding countryside. We will then continue to explore by bike the surrounding landscape surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
